Oliver Stanley "Olly" Murs (born 14 May 1984 in Essex, England) is an English singer-songwriter. He achieved second place on the sixth series of The X Factor in 2009. In early 2010 he announced he was signed to Syco Music and Epic Records, who are owned by Sony Music. After he toured with X Factor Finalists tour, he began recroding his debut album. Since then the loveable Essex boy has found his own style and sound, while proving the critics wrong by going straight to no.1 with his debut single, the reggae-tinged 'Please Don't Let Me Go'. Olly's blend of Stevie Wonder-lovin' soulful pop and reggae show no signs of stopping, with an eponymous debut album and a tour to follow in 2011.
